Opis

Following the Hittite raid on the Old Babylonian kingdom in the 16th century, the tribe of the Kassites inhabitating the central Zagros moved further west, falling under the influence of Babylonian culture (adopting cuneiform writing among others). The origins of the Kassite tongue are not known. The study is devoted to juxtaposing Kassite lexical material with that of the Dravidian languages of India.
